The selection of lights ranges from monochrome shading to multi-shaded lights. Other popular lights are themed lights such as sports (NFL, NBA, or MLB), tiffany lights, and stained glass fixtures. Depending on the make or design, billiard lights cost anywhere from fifty to over a thousand dollars.
Pool table lights or billiard lights with two to three metal shades have a single bar and a bronze, brass or copper finish. However you can find ones made with glass or leather shades. The fixtures made with wrought iron have more of a designer look. These lights have a black or stainless steel finish. A hot product right now is a single bar billiard light with little pool balls inserted in them.
Purchasing a suitable billiard light depends on who the consumer is. Commercial buyers often choose sturdy metal lights for their halls instead of glass to prevent the risk of damage to glass fixtures. When choosing a light for your game room, you must first determine how much lighting you actually need in the room. Consider the need by looking around the room. Do you already have wall lamps or overhead lighting? Do you only need direct light over the pool table or do you desire indirect mood lighting?
Vinyl shaded lights hung with a brass chain provide direct light over the poll which eliminate the shadows created by players. Also, rectangular shades will squarely focus on the individual table. Emerald shaded translucent lights with polished brass bars give a classic look. Solid brass lights with reflective interior shades offer a distinguished touch to the game room. Neon bar lights with soft drink names on them also enhance any game room.
